About Florida Dolphin Watch Since 2000

Celebrating our 10th year in Ft. Pierce, FL. We are a member of the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce, Florida Tourism Council, VISIT FLORIDA / FLA-USA., AAA and Mobile Travel Guide Approved.
In May 2006 Florida Dolphin Watch was given the “Tourist Friendly Business” Award of Distinction by the Saint Lucie County Chamber of Commerce.

THE CAPTAIN
My name is Mike Burley and I have been working in the tourism industry in Florida for 21 years. Starting in Key West from 1989-1998 as a sailing instructor and managing the rental end of one of the largest Water sports Rental and Parasail companies in Key West on Smathers Beach. From 1998-2000 I captained a Dolphin Watch and Snorkel/Kayak tour in Key West. With most of my experience operating from 4 & 5 Star resorts, such as Key West’s Hyatt and Hilton, it will always be my goal to offer you and your guests the best treatment possible each and every trip. In early 2000 I moved to Fort Pierce where I have owned and operated Florida Dolphin Watch.

THE TOURS
Come ride through one of the countries most untouched eco-systems, the Indian River Lagoon. Experience the beauty of wild dolphins feeding and playing in their natural environment as well as many other species of wildlife that thrive in the Indian River. This is a unique private boat tour that offers intimate trips of no more than six passengers at a time. We start with a tour of the Fort Pierce Inlet as your Guide tells of some history of Fort Pierce, Fort Pierce Inlet and also the ecological importance of this still “Living Lagoon”. Then we continue through “Inlet State Recreation Area” and Jack Island State Preserve. See a variety of birds as we wind through the secluded mangroves. The tour lasts 2 hours and covers a 15 mile trek as we learn about and look for encounters with wild dolphins.

THE RENTALS
If you have boating experience, rent a boat from our rental fleet with our custom charts and find an adventure for yourself! We have a selection of both Cruising or Fishing Pontoon boats available for Half Day or Full Day, as well as overnight camping rentals. Enjoy some fishing on our center console Off Shore Fishing Boats. Explore the shallow water with Daggar sit inside kayaks.
